Telemetry SIM Card Technology in Domestic Appliances By adding SIM cards to domestic appliances we begin yet another break-through in technology. Adding a small embedded system into a washing machine for instance, the unit will be able to self test for basic functionality such as continuity of electrical supply to all parts. The system would also be able to diagnose non-functionality such as a filter being blocked, a pump being broken, door solenoid being stuck etc. Smart Appliances The system will then send the relevant data to the manufacturer who can determine which machine is in need of assistance by means of the SIM card IMEI (unique) number. If a remote fix is available it could simply be sent back to the unit (once again using the SIM card). Saving the appliance manufacturer large amounts of money in warranty repairs, negating the need for an engineer to sent out. For example, the washing machine sends a message to the manufacturer that the unit will not work due to a filter requiring simple removal, cleaning and refitting (something any end user can do). Rather than send an engineer the manufacturer simply send you a text or email to inform you. A firmware update may be available from the manufacturer which could make your domestic appliance more efficient, this can also be done via SIM cards. If your appliance is stolen the item can be tracked using the SIM cards Global Positioning System. Appliances such as refrigerators are already being built with Televisions in them, manufacturers will be able to send customers advertisements, saving them huge amounts of money on advertising or expanding on their current advertising campaigns. There is so much we can write about this fantastic new Patent we may dedicate an entire site to it. As always this Patent is for sale as an entire buyout, IP, Patent (Claims if needs be at an additional cost)
